Lady Love

I had a dachshund puppy about 8 months old and her name was lady. she was never sick, and she was the most precious thing and I was in love with her. we got her so our other doxie didn't feel so alone because he has separation anxiety. Everything was fine with her until 10-15-12. My mom and her roommate just picked me up from school and brought the dogs along. she was sticking her head out the window while my roommate was holding her. She had her collar and leash on, but she jumped out the window at about 30 mph. our roommate had to let go of the leash because she was being dragged on the side of our van. we stooped immediately and I almost got hit by a car b/c I brought her to the side of the road so she wouldn't get hit. luckily, there was a pet hospital right down the street. when we got there, she was pooping blood all over my mom. they grabbed her right away. we found out she had serious brain injuries, a broken rib, and he bladder pretty much came off. we knew we had to put her down. When they brought her in and she all us there she was trying with all her might to get up and comfort us bc we were all balling. that was the hardest thing I saw and I just lost it there. We knew she was in serious pain. when she put he medicine in her, we were all telling her its okay to go, and we love her. we have her ashes and a big spot for her in our house with all her stuff. every year on that day we are putting pink balloons and writing a message to her where the accidents happened. Even though our time was short together, I will never forget the impact she had on our family, and how sweet her love is. I miss you buggy and I think about you every day. I cant wait till we meet again and neither can joey. he loves you. <3
